Walnut Grill - Robinson: A Culinary Experience in Pittsburgh

4.5/5 ! Only improvement they could make in my opinion is bringing some bread to the table and not charging a “non-cash payment fee” :) it was only about $2 charge on a $80 bill but who pays with cash in restaurants these days ?!? Food and drinks are very good.

I had an amazing experience at Walnut Grill in Pennsylvania! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming—perfect for a relaxing meal. Our server, Dianne, was absolutely fantastic. She was super friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations throughout our visit. You could tell she really cared about giving us a good experience. Every time we needed something, she was right there with a smile, ready to help. The food was delicious! Everything came out hot and fresh, and the flavors were on point. The highlight of the meal, though, had to be the brownie. It was huge—seriously generous in size—and so rich and chocolatey. We weren’t expecting such a large dessert, but it was a great surprise. It had the perfect texture, and every bite was just pure goodness. Definitely one of the best brownies I’ve had at a restaurant. Big shoutout again to Dianne for being so awesome. She gave us really good suggestions on what to try, and everything she recommended was spot on. It’s not easy to find servers that go above and beyond like that. Because of her, we’re already planning to come back. Highly recommend this place if you want great food, a chill vibe, and top-notch service!

Diane was an excellent server. They don't make them like her anymore . She was exceptional! I've served myself for 20 years and pay attention to detail. And she was exactly what a server should be. Awesome

We usually go here when we have a mix of friends with us and need some variety on the menu. It is a little pricier than I like for this type of restaurant but the food is good (not great). Service can be slow, food comes out at weird times like salad with soup and not with others dinners. My grilled chicken was burnt on this particular visit but still edible enough that I ate it. On other visits we’ve had undercooked baked potatoes and steak not to what was ordered. But, we eat here enough that those few issues are rare and do not happen frequently. The outdoor seating is a nice choice on good weather days.

We booked Walnut Grill for our party of 12 visiting from out of town. From the moment we came in it was a great experience. We were seated immediately and our server, Diane, already had water on table for everyone. She explained the menu and specials, was very attentive throughout the meal, and was friendly and welcoming throughout. The food and drinks were fantastic! We would definitely come back if in the area again! Highly recommend Walnut Grill and loved Diane’s service!

Really good food. Fast service, staff was very professional and was very good at fulfilling all our requests with dietary restrictions. Would recommend. Pricing was mid range you can order cheap or go really expensive but fits most budgets I would imagine.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout our meal. One of our favorite dishes was the Brussels sprouts; they were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Highly recommend giving them a try! We’ll definitely be back.
